Change of Management at Brenntag Iberia

Effective January 1, 2007, and after almost 40 years of outstanding service, Emilio Colomer, President of Brenntag Iberia, has decided to step down.

Emilio Colomer started at Productos Químicos Sevillanos in 1967, and has served in positions of increasing responsibility. Following the sale of the company to the multinational Brenntag in 1997, he was appointed President of Brenntag Iberia in 1999.

We would like to thank Emilio Colomer for his dedication to the organization over the past years, for his successful leadership and for his valuable contributions to the Brenntag Group.

Effective January 1, 2007, Frédéric Pierre succeeds Emilio Colomer as President of Brenntag Iberia. Frédéric Pierre has successfully held the position of CFO of Brenntag Iberia since 1999.

In their respective positions, Emilio Colomer and Frédéric Pierre have contributed to the development of the business and to the integration of the different acquisitions (Juliá Parrera in 2000, Droqsa in 2003 and Especialidades Puma in 2005, all in the Barcelona area), boosting Brenntag’s coordination at the Iberian level with the integration of the structures in Spain, Portugal and Morocco into a single organization.

With more than 400 employees at 17 locations in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, Brenntag Iberia recorded external sales of 261 million euros in 2006. Brenntag is committed to providing value to its customers and suppliers through superior supply chain logistics, single sourcing and value added services.
